Village Bookstores Friends & Family~ We have a fun weekend full of extravaganza’s for you all!
Come show your love for Village Bookstores this Saturday for Independent Bookstore Day - a National Day where all Indie Bookstores around the country throw a massive party for YOU!
Check out the schedules below for a full day of events. Malibu has an Open Mic evening with the writers of The Northridge Review. Come craft with us at Lido and add your favorite read to our exclusive book wall. Both stores will have all the IBD 2025 exclusives (*these are limited quantity & first come first serve) & a Golden Ticket to find!
This will be our first year participating in the LA Times Festival of Books (LATFOB) and we will be sharing our booth with our friends at Arvida Book Co. We can’t wait to spend the weekend around readers, authors & all our book-loving friends. Scroll down to see the list of authors we have - you won’t want to miss them.

Poetry Break Schedule (MVB ONLY) ~ From 11:00 AM to 2:00PM, we will have poetry breaks every 30 minutes! Think of it like a snack break but for your soul. Every half hour, we’re hitting pause for a quick burst of poetry read by some awesome local voices. It’s short, sweet, and totally free, just show up, listen in, and let the words do their thing.
