Lido Village Books’ March Newsletter
“March is the month of expectation, the things we do not know..." - Emily Dickinson
Dear Lido,
March has surely arrived with all her splendor…who else is loving the warm, sunny blue bird days with the still-need-a-sweater cool nights?! I imagine that when you’re not at the bookstore, you’re at the beach reading, reflecting & just loving this life!
I’m sitting in Malibu today but writing to you in Newport hoping you feel as I (& Emily) do…we have written the goals, created the actions & tomorrow begins the next several months of fruition. I do not know what will happen…but am always hoping for the best (and to see you…here on substack, there at the bookstore, or out and about in the community).
We are always here for you to: start a conversations, recommend a good book or just to stop by and say “Hi!”.
Always, Michelle
EVENTS & PROGRAMMING:
February’s Bestsellers:
February was a “read whatever you’re in the mood for” kind of vibe: a little moody here, a little curious there. Some big, brainy nonfiction that had us questioning the world, to some literary fiction that made you sit for a moment after that last page ended. There was: gothic energy, messy family drama, twisty thrillers and heartfelt love stories. Basically? February was about range. About feelings. About following your curiosity. So, tell us, what kind of mood were you reading this month? Check out the full list of our February bestsellers here!

Community News:
Hey! We are cooking up something new with HanaHaus this summer and would love your input for: The CookBook BookClub. “It’ll be a space to explore great cookbooks, share recipes, and bring our community together around food”, says HanaHaus (& we agree!) We have a survey for you to fill out and provide feedback, to make it an experience everyone can enjoy together.
