Hey Substack friends & family! We have another round of bookseller recommendations for you. The Village Bookstores’ Booksellers have been fervently reading all the great books that are being published right now. Here’s a few they finished & want you to know about…scroll down to find your next favorite book!

Attention Romance Readers! Abby Jimenez did it again! With her latest in writing the BEST BOOK BOYFRIENDS! Honestly it’s hard to date IRL when these book boyfriends are just heaven sent! *swoon* If you’re looking for a romance with a little emotional punch but still leaves you hopeful, this is the book for you! The story follows Xavier, a vet with a heart of gold and Sam, who’s juggling more than her fair share and how timing kinda ruins everything for them.

Jimenez is known for being able to weave love stories that feel grounded, real and emotionally rich. The story follows two characters who meet under very unexpected circumstances. From the moment they meet, there’s an obvious spark but life comes at them HARD and doesn’t make it easy for them.

What makes this book special is how it explores not just romantic love but personal growth, forgiveness and the courage it takes to follow your heart, even when it seems messy & complicated. The characters are flawed in the most relatable ways and their emotional journeys feel real and honest.

Yes, it’s a story about love but also about resilience, timing & how the right person at the wrong time can still leave an unforgettable impact on your life. Taking a deep dive into family, loss and finding joy in unexpected places makes this a 5 star read!

Hope you enjoy this one!

-Miguel

DON'T PANIC! In The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Douglas Adams takes the basic premise of Cosmic Horror (that we live in a vast and indifferent universe, filled with arbitrary horror and absurdity) and flips it on its head, drawing belly laughs from the darkest voids.
